Vision & Purpose

We believe that naturopathic research fosters the co-existence of alternative and conventional medicines. Only by understanding the strengths of all medical systems, can we create a truly integrative approach to health care that addresses the unique needs of each individual and achieves optimal health outcomes.

In Switzerland, the education and professional qualification of a naturopath is recognized at the federal level as an alternative medicine that can be practiced as 4 disciplines : Traditional European Medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurvedic Medicine and Homeopathy.

The purpose of a yearly Swiss international conference on naturopathic research is to :

• Unite the international naturopathic community (clinicians, educators and researchers, in the 4 disciplines mentioned above) and other health professionals, to catalyze connections and collaborations
• Support regional research capacity building in Switzerland and Europe
• Expose multiple perspectives and generate insights on how to interrogate naturopathic person-centered practices
• Contribute to the framing of a complexity science research approach suitable for investigating whole system medicines, as well as complex human organisms and conditions.

2023 Objectives
